Business Support Specialist
The Great Plains Region is seeking a Business Support Specialist to assist all departments. The position is responsible for retrieving data, creating and distributing various weekly, monthly and quarterly scheduled and ad hoc reports for supervisors and managers using various databases and company operating systems. Examines report data to ensure reliability and accuracy through proper documentation and cross-referencing of data sources. Provides management with a summary of collected data identifying trends or discrepancies. Additional duties include data entry, preparing communications for internal and external use, assists with Sales and Underwriting ad hoc projects. The position will also coordinate travel plans and organize / schedule meetings, conferences, luncheons, agency reviews, and help with business promotions.
Associate's Degree or 2 years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualified candidates will possess general knowledge of commercial insurance policies and practices. The successful candidate must be able to keep information confidential; effectively prioritize, organize and manage projects and assignments from multiple sources; respond professionally to customer inquiries; and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and with external customers. Must possess strong customer orientation, accurate data entry skills; interpersonal and communication skills; and a commitment to company values. Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to navigate on-line reference materials necessary.
